Northwestern Rejection
“The admission committee has concluded its evaluation of applicants to Northwestern University. I am sorry we are unable to offer you a place in the freshman class. This was a particularly difficult decision for the admissions committee in light of your family’s ties to the University.”

I HATE HATE HATE practicing for the AP Calc test in class. I always feel so goddamn stupid and embarrassed, because I never get the problems right on the first try. I have to have someone else help me out every step of the way, and I feel like I hold all these math geniuses back. Throughout the day, I have many profound thoughts about scenarios or ideas that I would love to share with every one (because everyone cares about what I have to say, right?). And then by the time I get home to the computer I always forget what was so important, or I just don’t have the capacity to write it all out.
